The said source said that Hamas has fully adhered to its proposed document that it presented on March 14, and Hamas’ failure to withdraw from any of the provisions of this document forced the occupying regime to discuss issues related to the ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and the return of refugees to the areas.
This source added that the Hamas movement, after its delegation’s recent trip to Cairo, is still considering the new proposal from the Zionist side and is conducting intensive consultations and is in constant contact with Egyptian and Qatari mediators.
He emphasized that there are still controversial points about the issue of the prisoners’ case and we need time to agree on the number of prisoners to be released and the related mechanism. But in general, the atmosphere is better than before and we are witnessing the retreat of the Zionist regime in its position regarding the issue of the withdrawal of the occupying forces from Gaza and the return of the refugees to their regions.
“Sami Abu Zahri”, one of the leaders of Hamas, announced: “We are still examining the response of the Zionist regime to the position of Hamas, which was received through mediators, and it is still too early to make a decision on the response.”
Abu Zuhri emphasized: Hamas movement will never accept any agreement that does not include the complete cessation of the Zionist regime’s aggression in the Gaza Strip. Hamas has assured the Egyptian and Qatari brothers that it is serious about reaching an agreement, but it will not give in to any American pressure.
