Palestinians largely reject disarming resistance movements.
According to the survey, 70 percent of Palestinians strongly oppose the disarmament of the resistance, even as a condition for preventing a return to war, and support for Operation Al-Aqsa Storm on October 7 has increased among Palestinians.
The survey was conducted in the West Bank and Gaza Strip between October 22 and 25, 2025, in person, virtually, or by telephone.
The report, without mentioning the responses of the rest of the participants, stated that the number of people who participated in the survey was 1,270, including 830 interviewees in the West Bank (in 83 residential areas) and 440 interviewees in the Gaza Strip (in 44 areas), with a margin of error of 3.5%.
Palestinian analysts believe that the disarmament of the resistance in Gaza is equivalent to the collapse of the main defensive wall; A declaration of surrender to the will of the occupier, which gives the Zionist regime complete freedom to continue killing, terrorizing, destroying, besieging, and displacing people whenever it wants without any restraint.
Therefore, disarmament not only does not stop the Zionist project, but it also paves the way for the continuation of the Judaization of the land and the elimination of the Palestinian issue.
