Pelosi: Biden’s delay in withdrawing from the party’s nomination cost us dearly

PNN – Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, considered the delay of US President Joe Biden in withdrawing from the presidential race as the reason for her defeat against Donald Trump and described it as expensive.

According to Pakistan News Network’s report from the Guardian newspaper, in a statement, the former speaker of the US House of Representatives described Biden’s slow and not so quick withdrawal from the competition as expensive for the Democrats, a few days after the defeat of the Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris in the presidential election.

Pelosi, who made these statements in an interview with the New York Times, added: We live with reality. If the president had left the competition early, there would have been a possibility for other candidates to appear.

This face of the Democratic Party noted: As I said, Kamala performed well and strongly in this field. But this did not happen. Because the president was so quick to endorse Kamala Harris, it made it nearly impossible to hold a primary at that time. If this had happened earlier, the situation would have been very different.

The Guardian adds: While Democrats are busy blaming each other for Harris’s defeat against Trump, Pelosi’s statement comes as a fatal blow.

According to reports, Pelosi played a key role in convincing Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.

After that, there were widespread reports of Biden’s anger toward Pelosi, and this week, there were also reports that the president and his top staff were angry with former President Barack Obama. It is said that Obama also played a role in Biden’s withdrawal from the election.

On the other hand, Pelosi has rejected the comments of Bernie Sanders, an independent party senator, who said that the Democrats have failed because they have abandoned the working class.

In response to these statements, Pelosi said: With all the respect I have for Bernie Sanders and for what he is proposing, I do not agree with his statement that the Democratic Party has abandoned working class families.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives then continued Ed: Cultural issues swayed American votes towards Trump.
