PNN – The Pentagon announced that the United States plans to continue training Ukrainian pilots to fly American F-16 fighters, along with other Washington allies.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing TASS news agency, (Sabrina Singh), the deputy press spokesperson of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced: The United States, along with its other allies and partners, plans to continue training more and more Ukrainian pilots to use the American F-16 fighter jet.
She said in a press conference: Regarding the F-16 program, the United States has led the air capability coalition and has also trained a number of Ukrainian pilots.
Singh added: You are aware that these trainings take place here in the United States; Of course, some other countries (European United Washington) have also trained Ukrainian pilots and continue to train them.
Pentagon Deputy Spokesman added: You know this coalition is still working on training more pilots if ready.
Tass reported: “Sergey Melnyk”, Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, announced that the training period for Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets has been reduced to three months.
At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that the second group of F-16 fighters arrived in Ukraine from Denmark, but he did not mention the exact number of these fighters.
Tass added: In November 2024, the Danish authorities announced that they had delivered 6 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, and 13 more planes were to be delivered to Ukraine.
Therefore, the report of “Maria Zakharova”, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had previously emphasized that the American F-16 fighters had no effect in this war and would be destroyed by the Russian Air Force.
The war in Ukraine, which started after ignoring Moscow’s security concerns from the West, led by the United States, has continued until now with the huge financial and military support of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and this process has blocked the path of any diplomacy to end it.
