Pentagon has not yet estimated the damage caused by the Russian Oreshnik missile.

According to TASS, Sabrina Singh, deputy Pentagon spokeswoman, referring to Russia’s recent attack on Ukraine with a hypersonic ballistic missile “Oreshnik”, said that the US Department of Defense has not yet estimated the damage caused by the attack.

Regarding the damage estimate from the attack, Singh said: “We are still discussing this issue with the Ukrainians, so it makes no sense for me to comment on it today.”

He added: “But when we get more information, we will share it, and maybe I will refer you to Ukraine to talk about this issue!”

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 21 that the United States and its NATO allies had previously announced that they would issue a permit for Ukraine to use long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian territory. Then Kyiv attacked Russian military facilities in Kursk and Bryansk using American and British missiles.

Putin stressed that Russia responded to the Ukrainian attack by firing its latest nuclear-capable intermediate-range hypersonic ballistic missile, striking one of the country’s industrial facilities. The Russian president stressed that the West’s provocative actions and policies could have serious consequences.
