PNN – The spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Administration (Kremlin) stated that the possible return of S-400 systems by Turkey cannot affect Russia’s relations with the country.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, reported that today, Thursday, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said that Russia is preparing contacts with the United States to receive information regarding their work with Ukrainians and Europeans on the process of conflict resolution in Ukraine.

Peskov added that the issue of the potential return of S-400 systems by Turkey was not on the agenda of the Putin-Erdogan meeting. He emphasized that the possible return of these systems cannot impact Russia’s relations with Turkey.

He further stated that Venezuela is a Russian ally and partner, with both sides maintaining regular contacts, including at the highest levels. He noted the escalation of tensions around Venezuela in the region and urged all regional countries to exercise restraint to prevent unpredictable developments regarding Venezuela.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Turkey intends to return the S-400 air defense systems, an action that would conclude a controversial defense deal. This deal had strained Turkey’s relations with the United States and other NATO members and could also pave the way for the purchase of U.S.-made F-35 fighter jets.
