PFLP: Hamas’ 38-year history proves its dedication to resistance.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement referring to the coincidence of the establishment of the Hamas movement with the Intifada, emphasizing: This 38-year path is a living testimony to Hamas’s deep commitment to the option of resistance as the only way to freedom and return.
The Palestinian group added: Resistance and national unity are the protective shield and the principle of confronting the occupiers in the war of genocide.
Referring to Hamas’s extensive sacrifices and the dedication of thousands of martyrs, wounded and prisoners, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine praised the great leaders of Hamas, especially Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Abdel Aziz Rantisi, Salah Shehadeh, Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Muhammad Al-Dif, and Saleh Al-Arouri, and the vast army of brave fighters of the movement.
The Palestinian group called for using this occasion as a national occasion to renew the pledge and make joint efforts to achieve a national strategy to defeat the plans of the occupiers and achieve greater success for the Hamas movement.
According to IRNA, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) was founded in December 1987, at the beginning of the First Palestinian Intifada, by Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and a group of Palestinian fighters.
The movement was formed as a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine and declared its main goal to be the complete liberation of the Palestinian land from the occupation of the Zionist regime.
