Poland: German chancellor interferes in our parliamentary elections.

According to Sputnik, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rao published a message on the X social network (formerly Twitter) and accused the German Chancellor of interfering in the country’s elections. Polish parliamentary elections will be held next month.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland wrote about this: “The last statement of Chancellor Olaf Schultz violates the principles of sovereign equality of countries, which is the basis of good neighborly relations and friendly cooperation with Poland.” Statements in this context indicate an attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of the Polish government and the current election campaign in Poland.

He also asked the German chancellor to respect Poland’s sovereignty and to refrain from damaging the relations between the two countries.

At a Social Democratic party rally in Nuremberg yesterday, Olaf Schultz did not rule out tightening measures at the EU’s external borders to prevent illegal immigration amid a corruption scandal involving the issuance of Schengen visas by Polish foreign missions.

Last Thursday, the European Commission announced that it has sent a letter to Poland and is looking for an explanation about the accusations that the Polish authorities have issued visas for a long time in exchange for bribes.
