Politico: Pentagon seeks funding for Gaza peacekeeping force

PNN – In a report, Politico newspaper pointed to the negotiations of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) to finance the deployment of a multinational or Palestinian peacekeeping force in the Gaza Strip and wrote: US troops will not be sent to Gaza.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Politico’s report on the Pentagon’s plans to deploy a peacekeeping force after the end of the war in Gaza quoted two defense officials and other unnamed American officials: None of the options considered by the Pentagon for the period after the end of the war in Gaza include the deployment of American peacekeeping forces in the region.

According to Politico, the United States has previously emphasized that even in the plan to send naval aid to Gaza through a temporary dock, American forces will not enter the Gaza Strip at all.

Quoting a high-ranking American official, this newspaper wrote: We have discussed with the Israeli (regime) authorities and our partners in the region about the key elements of the day after the end of the war in Gaza.

This report continues: Joe Biden’s administration is currently holding preliminary negotiations to examine the available options for establishing stability in Gaza after the end of the war between Israel and Hamas.

The report continues: It may take months for Washington and its allies to come close to approving a plan for the day after the end of the war in Gaza, because America’s partners in the region demand that whatever plan it wants be approved. It should also include a two-state solution.

The website of the Bloomberg news network also reported earlier, quoting informed sources, that the United States and Europe are considering a plan to deploy international peacekeeping forces in Gaza after the war.

Bloomberg also quoted the officials of the Zionist regime who spoke to this news network on the condition that their names not be disclosed, and wrote: In Tel Aviv’s view, any plan to be implemented in the region the day after the end of the war in Gaza must include Israeli forces entering and leaving Gaza at will to ensure that Hamas or other forces Anti-Israelism will not be revived.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally, on November 24, 2023, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established, or the pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.

This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on Friday morning (December 1, 2023) the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.

In order to compensate for its failure and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombing this area.
