Possibility of sending the army to Gaza; the rulers are striking at their own roots with this decision

decision

PNN – The head of Pakistan’s Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), in a sharp reaction to news about Pakistan’s army being sent to Gaza, declared that such a decision by the rulers would be equivalent to striking at their own roots.

Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, the head of Pakistan’s Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and a member of the country’s Senate, in a conversation with a Mehr News Agency correspondent, stated: According to statements by the U.S. Secretary of State, Pakistan’s rulers have offered to send forces to Gaza. Such a decision by the rulers is equivalent to hitting themselves.

He added: The heart of the Pakistani people beats for the oppressed Palestinians. In Gaza, genocide has occurred, innocent people have been killed, widespread devastation and ruin have spread, and every type of legitimate and illegitimate weapon has been used. Pakistan, a nuclear power, has not even supported the oppressed Palestinians to the extent of an atom’s weight; it has neither taken any action to stop this war nor provided them with any weapons.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas emphasized: The main goal of the United States is for Hamas to be disarmed. It is not just Hamas; America wants to take weapons from Islamic Jihad and other resistance groups as well.

He continued: The people of Pakistan will stand against those who take such actions and will confront them.

Previously, the Reuters news agency reported in a story: Asim Munir, the Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan, faces the biggest challenge of his tenure because Washington has asked Islamabad to send troops to Gaza.

Reuters, quoting sources in the Pakistani army, added: Field Marshal Munir will likely travel to Washington in the coming weeks to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. This will be his third meeting in the past six months, and its focus will likely be on sending troops to Gaza.

According to Reuters’ claim: Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza includes sending troops from Muslim countries to oversee a transition period and rebuild the region’s economy. Many countries are cautious about this mission, whose aim is to disarm resistance groups, because it may draw them into conflict and anger Palestinian supporters domestically.

Reuters wrote: Refusing to send troops could anger Trump, and Pakistan, due to its desire to receive investment and security assistance from Washington, is under pressure in this regard. At the same time, the presence of Pakistani forces in Gaza may inflame protests by domestic Islamist parties. Pakistan’s entry into this mission would confront Field Marshal Munir with serious challenges domestically, and public opinion may see Munir as “serving Israel.”
