PNN – Thousands of American citizens are scheduled to participate in demonstrations across the United States on Saturday under the slogan “No to Kings” against the policies of the Donald Trump administration.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the American website Axios reported that the organizers of the protests expect the number of rallies nationwide to be larger than similar demonstrations last year in June and October. According to the report, preparations have been made for more than 3,000 protest events in different states.
More than 20 other rallies are also planned in various locations across northeastern Ohio, from Avon Lake to Stibola, as well as Cuyahoga Falls and Canton.
According to Axios, the largest rally is scheduled for 1 p.m. local time at Free Stump Square in Willard Park, located at the intersection of 9th Street and Lakeside Avenue. Cleveland residents will also participate in the massive march, along with millions of other Americans.
In addition to criticizing the increased presence of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) forces, protesters will also express concern about the consequences of the war against Iran and its impact on fuel prices.
Organizers said about 15,000 people, including Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb and Democratic Congresswoman Shontell Brown, attended the protest in Willard Park last October.
A grassroots group in northeast Ohio has also announced that it will continue to hold similar rallies every Wednesday, weather permitting, at the intersection of 9th and Lakeside streets.
The report continues that, as the Trump administration launches a war against Iran, its approval rating has fallen to its lowest level since entering the White House, and public support for the war and its goals has also declined.
