PNN – Israel TV reported that the Zionist army plans to end the second phase of the war, i.e. ground operations in Gaza, and enter the third phase.
According to Pakistan News Network, Israel TV (Kan) says that the Israeli army is preparing for the start of the “third phase” of the war in the Gaza Strip in the next few weeks, which includes the end of ground operations in Gaza.
KAN, which published this report in the last hours of Friday evening, quoting anonymous sources, wrote: “The third phase includes ending the ground maneuver in the [Gaza] Strip, reducing the number of troops, resting the reserve forces, turning to airstrikes and creating a buffer zone on the Gaza-Israel border.”
On Thursday last week, Israeli news sources announced that the Golani Brigade – the infantry brigade of the Israeli Army – has decided to withdraw from this area after 70 days of war in Gaza.
However, some Israeli media claimed that the goal of Golani Brigade’s departure is to reorganize the forces and take a short-term rest.

Whispers about the beginning of the third phase of the war are heard in the official Israeli media, while the second phase of the army’s operation in Gaza has not yet achieved its stated goals.
In a press conference held on the 18th of November, the Zionist War Cabinet announced the goal of entering the second phase or the beginning of the ground operation in Gaza “to continue until victory and the return of the abducted (prisoners)”.
“Benjamin Netanyahu”, the prime minister of the Israeli regime, also said in the early days of the ground operation in Gaza that the war will continue until the achievement of three goals, namely, “a decisive victory, the destruction of Hamas, and the return of the abducted (Israeli prisoners) and guaranteeing that Gaza will not be a threat to Israel.”
The soft and gradual change of the second phase and the talk of the imminent beginning of the third phase can be heard while “Kataib al-Qassam”, the military branch of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other resistance groups based in Gaza, publish daily statements and numerous pictures of the continuation of their operations in Gaza reports about the destruction of the armored vehicles of the Israeli army and the defeat of the Zionist soldiers.
In the continuation of its report, Khan Network also mentioned a not so new goal that the Israeli army has always sought to achieve. KAN writes that in the third phase, the army will launch targeted attacks, which will include the assassination of Hamas leaders.
Ehud Olmert, the former prime minister of the Zionist regime, recently addressed the same issue in a note published by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, under the title of immediately stopping the war and returning the abductees alive, and said that Netanyahu himself knows that Hamas cannot be eradicated.
Olmert said that Netanyahu has only two options: “Either he agrees to a ceasefire and returns his prisoners to Hamas with an exchange agreement, or he continues the war in such a way that this war ends without achieving the goal of destroying Hamas and without returning the prisoners.”
