PNN – The President of Mexico emphasized that the United Nations must take more measures to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip: Diplomats of this organization should not sleep these days and their main goal should be to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from the Sputnik Mundo website, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador emphasized in his press conference about the war in Gaza: We feel that the United Nations should work more on this issue. [Organization] diplomats should not sleep these days. Like they need to get out of their routine. Their main goal should be to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.
The President of Mexico also emphasized the need for more determination and will of the United Nations to resolve the tensions caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine.
He added: We must talk to all leaders and hold meetings for two purposes (Gaza war and Ukraine war).

Regarding Mexico’s request to enter South Africa’s lawsuit against Israel for the genocide in the Gaza Strip, Obrador said: Mexico’s position is neutral. The plan before the International Court of Justice is part of our foreign policy, which is the resolution of disputes through peaceful means.
The President of Mexico said: We are not in favor of any position that implies further escalation of the conflict. We have been cautious in this regard. We hope that the war will stop because already thousands of people have been killed, many innocent people, including children. We have to convince the warmongers and keep calling for a ceasefire.
He added: Now the most important thing is to achieve peace. This is Mexico’s position. We want the war to stop.
Mexico is one of the countries that does not officially recognize Palestine as an independent country.
However, this country, similar to the actions of Nicaragua, Colombia and Libya, has requested to enter the case of South Africa’s complaint against Israel for the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
