Pressure on the Zionist regime is necessary for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
According to Anatolia news agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during a phone conversation with his American counterpart, Anthony Blinken, emphasized the need to put pressure on the Zionist regime to achieve a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Uncu Kaceli announced in a message on X social network (former Twitter) that this telephone conversation was conducted at the request of Anthony Blinken.
Based on this, the parties discussed the so-called negotiation process between the occupiers of Jerusalem and Hamas, as well as the growing tensions in the region, in a telephone conversation.
Fidan announced that the assassination of martyr Ismail Haniyeh, the former head of Hamas’s political office, and the continued killing of Palestinians showed once again that the Zionists do not want a ceasefire with Hamas.
Recalling that Hamas has so far shown a constructive approach regarding the ceasefire, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that pressure should be put on the Zionist regime to achieve a permanent ceasefire.
While expressing concern over the escalation of tensions in the region, Fidan stated that this regime should avoid provocative actions that cause further spread of the conflict.
