The Prime Minister of Pakistan met with senior Saudi officials on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially large Saudi investments in Pakistan.

In a meeting with Shahbaz Sharif, the Minister of Commerce of Saudi Arabia emphasized that according to the orders of Mohammad Bin Salman, Pakistan is Saudi Arabia’s priority for investment and trade.

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan went to Pakistan at the head of a high-ranking political-economic delegation, and during this trip, the two countries expressed concern over the escalation of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and called for an end to the war and an unconditional ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally, after 45 days of fighting and conflict, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established on November 24, 2023, or the pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.

This pause in the war continued for seven days, and finally, on the morning of Friday, December 1, 2023, the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.

In order to compensate for its failure and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombing this area. According to reports, more than 34,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 77,000 others have been injured.
