Pak Sahafat – The supporters of the ultranationalist party “Vazrazhadane” (Revival) of Bulgaria demonstrated against the policies of the western government of this country and demanded its resignation and the dismantling of NATO military bases.
According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, citing Reuters, hundreds of supporters of this party, who are against supporting Ukraine in the war with Russia, gathered in front of the Bulgarian parliament and waved the flags of their country and Russia.
They chanted “resignation” against the government and demanded early elections.
Some of the protesters were holding placards that read: Dismantle American bases! Bulgaria is a region of peace.
One of the protesters said in Thursday’s demonstration: Bulgarians do not want to participate in the war between Russia and Ukraine. We want to be a neutral country. Bulgarians are against sending weapons to Ukraine.

Kostadin Kostadinov, the head of the Vazrazhadane Party, also stated: The latest order received from America, the master of Bulgaria, is to establish a new military base. NATO must leave.
Bulgarian Defense Minister Todor Tagarov said in an interview with BTV a few months ago that his country will continue to support Ukraine in the war with Russia, but does not intend to provide military forces to Kiev.
He added: Bulgaria will continue its aid to Ukraine in compliance with the European Union, which will be done after analyzing the military equipment needs of Kiev.
The Minister of Defense of Bulgaria emphasized that his country can even hold programs for the training of Ukrainian military forces in the country, but no Bulgarian military forces will be sent to Ukraine.
Arguing that Bulgaria’s security is closely related to war, Tagarov emphasized that Sofia’s support for Kiev is not only moral, but also strategic.
He said: Russia must be defeated and retreat to the borders before the war. Otherwise, there will be no stability and peace in the Balkans and the Black Sea region.
