Protests in Latin America following the Israeli regime’s attack on the Samoud flotilla

Latin America

PNN – The seizure of the “Samoud” convoy by the Zionist regime brought the people of Latin America to the streets in condemnation of this action.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, thousands of people demonstrated in several cities in Latin America to protest the seizure of the international flotilla “Samoud”, which was heading to the Gaza Strip with the aim of breaking the blockade, and was seized by the Israeli Navy. The protests were held in cities including Mexico City, Bogota, Buenos Aires and Montevideo.

In Bogota, the capital of Colombia, a group of protesters gathered in front of the National Association of Colombian Businesses, which represents the country’s private sector. The location was chosen because the Global Movement for Gaza accused the organization on its X social media account of having direct ties to the Israeli economic mission in Colombia. The association later denied the accusation in a statement.

Hundreds of people also took part in demonstrations in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Protesters condemned the occupation forces’ attack on the Samoud convoy and called for an end to the genocide in Gaza.

A demonstration was also held in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, in which activists chanted slogans for the freedom of Palestine and held placards demanding the imprisonment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Mexican protesters also gathered in front of the country’s Foreign Ministry in Mexico City, demanding the release of all members of the Samoud flotilla, including seven Mexican citizens detained by Israeli forces.

The Samoud International Fleet, which included more than 40 ships and more than 500 volunteers from about 40 countries, was seized by the Israeli Navy last night about 80 nautical miles from Gaza.

According to the organizers of the flotilla, nine ships belonging to the flotilla were seized and one of them was attacked in international waters.
