Putin announced the new Prime Minister of Russia.

According to Russia Today Russian President Vladimir Putin, who officially began his fifth term as president on Tuesday, once again introduced “Mikhail Mishustin” to the parliament as the new prime minister of the country.

In accordance with Russian law, Mishustin, who has held the position of prime minister since 2020, submitted his cabinet’s resignation at the same time as the inauguration of the fifth term of the Russian presidency. If approved by parliament, Mishustin will form the new Russian government.

Vladimir Putin, who won the Russian presidential election with a majority of votes, officially began his fifth term in office on Tuesday with the swearing-in ceremony at the Kremlin Palace.

The history of the presidential inauguration ceremony, which was held today (Tuesday) in the Kremlin, goes back to the year 2000. This tradition continued in 2024 with the presence of a number of prominent Russian officials, judges and members of the parliament of this country. According to Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, about 2,600 people were invited to this ceremony.

Putin, who decisively won the March elections with 87.28 percent of the votes, officially started his fifth presidential term by taking the oath a few minutes ago.
