Putin: It is impossible to have a constructive dialogue with Washington before the American elections

PNN – Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that it is not possible to have a constructive dialogue with Washington before the 2024 US presidential elections.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Sputnik news agency, after participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit on the outskirts of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Putin said: It is impossible to talk about creating a constructive dialogue with America before holding elections in this country.

While former US President Donald Trump, during his time relations between Washington and Moscow were stable, is a possible candidate for the 2024 US presidential election and there is a possibility that he will be elected, Putin said in this press conference: Russia takes seriously Trump’s statements about the possibility of stopping the conflict in Ukraine.

Trump, the presumptive nominee of the US Republican Party, claims that he will “solve” the war in Ukraine even before he can officially take office.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in response to Trump’s claim, said in an interview with Bloomberg News: If he has a plan to stop this war, he should reveal it right now. We must be aware and prepared for any danger that Ukraine’s independence poses or possible threats to our country.

In another part of his speech, Putin addressed the issue of Afghanistan in a press conference and stated: Taliban is in power in Afghanistan, and in this sense, they are our allies in the fight against terrorism.

The Russian President emphasized: Moscow has received signals from the Taliban movement about their readiness to cooperate in the fight against terrorism and welcomes this.
