PNN – In a phone call last week with his American counterpart, the Russian president announced “the transfer of control of the Donetsk region to Russia” as a condition for ending the war in Ukraine.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Washington Post, according to two senior officials familiar with the matter, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated his condition for ending the war in a phone conversation last week with his American counterpart, Donald Trump.

According to the two sources familiar with the phone call, Putin demanded that Kiev cede full control of the Donetsk region to Russia, a vital and strategic region located in eastern Ukraine.
Trump had previously said about his call with Putin that “my phone call with President Putin was productive and our success in the Middle East will help negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.”
He also said he would meet with Putin in the Hungarian capital. The White House has also said that the next meeting between Trump and Putin may take place in Budapest, and Putin has expressed his commitment to meeting with President Trump.
