Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday evening that the long-term conflict in occupied Palestine has reached the conditions of a real humanitarian disaster.
During a ceremony in the Kremlin, Putin explained: “International relations are at a very difficult time when political and economic crises in the world have increased.”
According to “Sputnik” news agency, he also added that Russia is ready to cooperate closely with all friendly countries to solve important regional and global problems.
Recently, in a message on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the President of Russia stated that the formation of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders is one of the main conditions for establishing a lasting and just peace between Palestine and the Zionist regime.
Previously, Dmitry Chumakov, Russia’s deputy representative to the United Nations, while describing the Gaza war as “a conflict on an unprecedented scale”, said that the risk of its expansion threatens the entire West Asian region.
On the other hand, Anatoly Viktorov, the ambassador of the Russian Federation in occupied Palestine, while pointing out Russia’s support for the humanitarian pause established in the Gaza Strip, said that Moscow wants this ceasefire to be permanent.
