Putin: The plight of the Palestinian people cannot be ignored

Pak Sahafat – The Russian President said that the issue of Palestine is in the heart of every Muslim and the plight of the Palestinians cannot be ignored.

According to the report of the Pak News Network Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday at the Russian Energy Week Forum, a day after his conversation with the Iraqi Prime Minister, that the plight of the Palestinian people cannot be ignored. He added that Muslims in West Asia and other places consider what the Palestinians have suffered for years as gross injustice, which has escalated beyond imagination.

According to “Rasha Today”, he stated that “the state of Palestine should have been established in 1948 like Israel, but this never happened”. He added: The issue of Palestine is before everyone in the [Middle East] and every Muslim.

Continuing his speech, Putin blamed the escalation of tensions between the Palestinians and the Zionists on Israel’s “settlement policy”, which, according to him, caused land in the West Bank to be usurped from the Palestinians and given to settlers.

Putin also said that Washington played a role in these developments because it neglected to implement any real mechanism to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and instead preferred to address only the material needs of the Palestinians with some financial and humanitarian aid.

He emphasized: “We have always said that nothing will change until some fundamental issues are resolved.” In his speech, the Russian president asked for women and children to remain calm and asked to avoid targeting civilians in attacks.

Moscow asked the Zionists and Palestinians to end the conflicts and called for a ceasefire. According to Russian diplomats, four Russian citizens were killed in occupied Palestine and six people are missing.

“Sergei Lavrov”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, emphasized the need to stop the conflicts between Hamas and the Zionist regime and clarified that after the end of the tensions in the occupied territories, the duty and commitment to create a Palestinian state should be taken seriously.

Since Saturday (October 7), the Hamas resistance movement has launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation against the Zionist terrorist regime, which has resulted in the death of at least 1,300 Zionists and the wounding of 2,500 others.

The Zionist regime also launched an all-out attack against the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, so far 1,200 Palestinians have been martyred and 5,600 people, most of whom are women and children, have been injured in the continuous attacks of the Zionist regime army on the residential areas of the Gaza Strip.
