“Putin” threatened the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Moscow with “severe punishments”
According to Al Jazeera, Russian President Vladimir Putin described the attack as a “bloody and brutal terrorist act” in his first reaction to the terrorist attack on the “Krokas” music hall in the suburbs of Moscow.
Putin announced Sunday, March 24, as a day of “national mourning” to pay tribute to the victims of the Moscow attack and added: “We will help all those who were injured in the heinous attack on the Krokas concert hall in Moscow.” Dozens of civilians and innocent people were victims of this terrorist attack.
He emphasized: Four terrorists responsible for this attack, who massacred people, were arrested while they were trying to flee to Ukraine. We also arrested 11 other people who were helping the attackers. The criminals cold-bloodedly shot to kill the Russians just as the Nazis had done before.
The President of Russia threatened: We will identify all those who were behind this attack, who planned and executed it, and we will punish them fairly but severely. Russia has passed the most difficult tests many times and it will be the same this time.
Putin noted: No one will be able to shake the unity and strength of the Russian nation and sow the seeds of discord in the multi-ethnic Russian society. The main issue is that those who were behind this terrorist attack should not be allowed to commit a new crime now.
He stated: We are aware of the threat of terrorism and count on cooperation with countries that sympathize with us.
