Putin: Trust-building process between Russia and US has nothing to do with Europe.
According to Al Jazeera, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in response to his American counterpart Donald Trump’s remarks about the agreement between Moscow and Washington, said: “The confidence-building talks between Moscow and Washington concern only these two countries and the Europeans should not interfere in it.”
He attacked Zelensky, calling him a toxic personality and saying: “The Ukrainian president is issuing irrational orders to the army and has become the cause of the collapse of the Ukrainian army, society and government.”
The Russian president added that Trump also understands this and is pushing Zelensky toward the elections.
Putin announced that Russia is ready to reach an agreement with the United States to reduce military spending by 50 percent, and if it wishes, China can also join this agreement.
Regarding the US-Ukraine agreement on rare earth minerals, he also said: “Russia has huge reserves of rare earth minerals and is ready to cooperate with American companies in joint ventures.”
Putin added: “I don’t think Trump’s position on Ukraine’s rare earth minerals is in Russia’s interest.”
The Russian president also said that some Russian and American companies are negotiating large energy projects.
