Putin: Ukraine is a matter of life and death for Russia.
According to Tass, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in response to a part of his exclusive interview with Tucker Carlson, a famous American presenter, mentioned Ukraine as a matter of life and death for Moscow.
In a conversation with Carlson, Putin said, “It is important for domestic and foreign observers in Russia to know how important the developments and events around Ukraine are for Moscow.”
In response to this issue, the President of Russia said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a reporter for the Russian State Radio and Television Company: “Ukraine is a matter of improving their position and tactical position for the Westerners, but for us, it is a matter of fate and a matter of life and death.”
He emphasized: that I wanted the people who will have that interview (with Carlson) to understand this issue. However, it is not for me to judge how successful I was in getting my point across.
