PNN – Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed launching a program to equip the forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states with modern Russian weapons.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Mayadeen, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized on Thursday that cooperation with partners in the Collective Security Treaty Organization will continue to identify terrorist cells and cut off their financing channels.

In his speech at the plenary meeting of the heads of state of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek, Putin proposed taking further measures to protect the organization’s member states from threats to information security.

He also proposed launching a program to equip the forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states with modern Russian weapons.

The summit will be held at the Intimek Ordu state residence in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and Putin is expected to attend the signing ceremony of the final documents.

The Russian president will speak to reporters at the end of his three-day visit to Kyrgyzstan, during which he held talks with his Kyrgyz counterpart and also met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
