“PUTIN’S RED LINE: Russia’s President Issues Ominous Caution to the West – ‘Be Careful Who You Play With'”
The English newspaper “Daily Express” announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a serious warning to Western countries about the escalation of tensions in Ukraine and emphasized that the escalation of tensions will lead to direct global consequences.
This English newspaper refers to Putin’s statements in a press conference with the President of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, which discussed the role of NATO member countries in the escalation of tensions.
In his remarks, Putin stressed that NATO representatives must be aware of “who they are playing with” when they talk about plans to allow Kiev to attack “legitimate targets” deep inside Russian territory.
Last Wednesday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg claimed in an interview with CNN that “the right of self-defense allows Ukraine to use Western weapons to attack Russian territory.” He also added: “Now is the most difficult time for Kyiv since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine.”
In an interview with the Economist newspaper, Stoltenberg asked NATO member countries to cancel the restrictions imposed on the use of weapons sent to Ukraine in an attack on Russian territory.
These statements of the NATO Secretary General were made while German Chancellor Olaf Schultz announced on Sunday that Berlin is against Ukraine’s attack on Russian territory with Western weapons. The Chancellor of Germany said in this regard that he is against giving Ukraine the opportunity to attack Russian territory with western weapons.
Shultz further added: Weapons received from Western allies should not be used to attack Russia. There are clear rules for the use of weapons provided by Berlin, which have been agreed with the Ukrainian authorities.
He also said: At least this is my position. Berlin’s goal in this situation is to prevent the current conflict from turning into a world war and not to contribute to the escalation of tension.
