Qatar and Oman demanded to counter the action of the Zionist regime against UNRWA

PNN – In separate statements, Qatar and Oman condemned the action of the Zionist regime against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees “UNRWA” and demanded to deal with it.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing “Al-Khalij Online” website, in a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar condemned the efforts of the Zionist regime to include the name of UNRWA in the list of “terrorist organizations” and demanded that the international community confront this regime’s conspiracy.

In this statement, the international community is asked to confront the actions of the Zionist regime to eliminate UNRWA’s provision of essential services to millions of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

In this connection, Oman’s Foreign Ministry condemned in a statement the efforts of the Zionist regime to introduce UNRWA as a “terrorist organization” and warned about the consequences of trying to weaken UNRWA and its role in providing services to more than 2 million Palestinians.

While appreciating UNRWA’s efforts to provide aid to the Palestinian nation, Oman emphasized the importance of implementing UN resolutions regarding sending humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip without any obstacles.

A few days ago, Knesset (Parliament of the Zionist regime) declared UNRWA as a terrorist organization by initially approving a draft plan.

This plan, which was presented to the Knesset by the Israel Beitenu party led by Avigdor Lieberman, the former war minister of the Israeli regime, was approved by 42 members, and 6 others expressed their opposition to it.

The Israeli regime claims that UNRWA was involved in the operation of the Palestinian resistance groups on the 7th of October (Operation Al-Aqsa Storm), to the extent that following this claim, some countries temporarily stopped funding this branch of the United Nations.
