Qatar demanded an investigation into the crimes committed by the Israeli regime against journalists

PNN – Qatar demanded an independent and urgent investigation into the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against journalists in the Gaza Strip.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from the Palestine Information Center, the government of Qatar emphasized that the Gaza Strip witnessed the highest number of victims among journalists in the history of modern wars.

According to this report, Qatar’s representative in the UN Human Rights Council emphasized the need to protect journalists in the Gaza Strip.

“Abdullah Nasser Al-Naima” while pointing to the increase in aggression against journalists in Gaza, warned against the phenomenon of the Zionist occupation regime being immune from punishment.

He stated that since the beginning of the war in Gaza, more than 130 journalists were martyred in this area, 16 journalists were wounded and four others were missing.

Qatar’s representative in the UN Human Rights Council added: The occupying regime of Israel has also detained 25 journalists, and these numbers are increasing every moment.

Al-Nama called for an immediate and independent investigation in this field and emphasized the necessity of accountability and punishment of the Zionist regime for these crimes.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally, on November 24, 2023, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established between Israel and Hamas, or the pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.

This pause in the war continued for seven days, and finally on the morning of Friday, December 1, 2023, the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza. In order to retaliate for the surprise attacks of the Al-Aqsa storm and to compensate for its failure and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed all the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area.
