Qatar: Israel’s goal to destroy Hamas is “unrealistic”.
In a situation where the temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip has entered its fourth, i.e. the last, day and there are efforts by the relevant parties to extend it, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, “Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani”, has commented on the claims made by the United States and the Zionist regime about the situation in the Strip. Gaza and how to manage it after the war, he said, Gaza cannot be separated from the West Bank, and these two areas should be in the form of a single government under the leadership of someone chosen by the Palestinian people.
In an interview with the American CBS network, he stated that our focus is now on how to end the war and ensure that it does not happen again. The only way to prevent the recurrence of war in Palestine is to reach a political solution and create a perspective for the Palestinians in the formation of their independent state, and someone should rule Palestine that the people of this land choose.
This Qatari official added that his country is in direct contact with the Americans to ensure the implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement.
