Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: There are major logistical challenges for aid to enter the Gaza Strip.
Al-Arabi quoted Majid Al-Ansari, spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, as saying: “We reached an agreement between Hamas and Israel to release the female prisoner, whom Israel had demanded to be released before Friday.”
He added: “There are major logistical challenges for the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip. We emphasize the need for serious efforts by the parties and the international community to bring in the maximum amount of aid.”
Al-Ansari said: “The first shipment of humanitarian aid entered Gaza yesterday through the Beit Hanoun crossing as part of the continuous airlift.”
He announced the continuation of consultations with the Trump administration on Palestine and regional issues, and continued: “The second phase of negotiations will begin on the 16th day after the implementation of the ceasefire agreement. Hamas has provided information related to the prisoners and the issues that were hindering the return of the refugees to the north have been resolved.”
Al-Ansari clarified: “The Qatari-Egyptian security committee has a limited technical role in inspecting vehicles and vehicles passing through the north.” There is currently no specific date for the opening of the Rafah crossing due to logistical challenges.
He stressed: “We emphasize monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and hope that the parties will adhere to their commitments.”
The Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman added: “So far, no violations have occurred that would lead to an escalation or breakdown of the ceasefire agreement.”
