Qatar’s response to America: Military action will not bring us the desired result.
Emphasizing the diplomatic solution to solve the regional crisis, Qatar’s foreign minister stated that Iran is a neighbor of this country and they continue to have free communication with the Islamic Republic.
In an interview with Fox News, Qatar’s Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said: “We are not in a position to start a blame game.”
In a question, the Fox News channel mentioned the incident of Sunday this week in the attack on the Al-Borj American military base in Jordan and the killing of three American soldiers, and asked to what extent do you consider the Islamic Republic of Iran to be directly responsible for this attack?
Qatar’s foreign minister said that he and Iran continue to talk about persuading all parties in the region to reduce tensions and stated: “Iran is our neighbor. We continue to communicate freely with them.”
The Fox News host then showed Al-Thani a clip from the former US National Security Advisor Robert Brint, in which he claimed that the resistance groups in the region would not take any action “without Iran’s approval”.
Reacting to this photo, Qatar’s foreign minister said: “This is his opinion…but this is something that is not for me to judge.” I think what we have to judge is the actions and we have to stop it.”
Emphasizing that the relations between Qatar and the Islamic Republic are based on “common interests and good neighborliness”, he said that although Qatar respects Arica’s decisions, it “needs to be calm” about some threats by the US to take revenge on Iran.
He continued to advise the United States: “We should conclude from diplomacy and try to contain the situation and focus on solving this issue.”
