“Racial cleansing” is the main goal of America and the Zionist regime in the Gaza war.
The Truth Behind Israel and the US’s Claims in Gaza
After the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, Israeli officials claimed that Hamas had been defeated and was in its weakest state ever. On the other hand, American officials have stated that the likelihood of a ceasefire in Gaza has increased more than ever. However, the reality on the ground suggests that attacks on Gaza continue, and the policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing persists.
Israel’s Claims of Destroying Hamas
After Sinwar’s martyrdom on October 17, various Israeli officials claimed that Hamas was in its weakest state ever. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in his first reaction to the assassination, “This is not the end of the war in Gaza. This is the beginning of the end of Hamas. This war can end tomorrow. This can happen if Hamas puts down its arms and releases our prisoners. Israel will guarantee the security of those who return the prisoners, but those who arm them know that Israel will come after them.” Netanyahu’s words reveal two important points. Firstly, Israeli officials are not interested in ending the war. Secondly, they do not want to negotiate the release of their prisoners.
**The US and the Lie of a Ceasefire After Sinwar**
American officials, after Sinwar’s martyrdom, considered this event an opportunity to end the conflict. The US Department of State spokesperson said, “The United States wants to start ceasefire talks and ensure the release of prisoners. Sinwar refused to negotiate. This obstacle is now clearly removed. It is impossible to predict whether someone who replaces Sinwar will agree to a ceasefire or not, but for now, the main obstacle that existed for months has been removed.” US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, in his visit to the occupied territories, according to American officials, tried to persuade Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire in Gaza and end the war that is spreading throughout the region.
However, it is notable that American officials do not have the necessary seriousness to transition from a state of war to a ceasefire in Gaza. In other words, their intention is more on continuing this war. The US Secretary of State’s approach in his recent regional visit to pave the way for a ceasefire agreement was very weak, especially since American officials do not have any plans to put pressure on Israel and impose costs on them to accept a ceasefire.
**The Reality of the Situation**
The reality on the ground indicates that the main goal of the Israeli and American regimes is not to end the war and achieve a ceasefire but to continue their policy of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement of the people of Gaza. The Israeli and American officials’ claims are merely a facade to cover their true intentions.
It is essential to remember that Netanyahu has stated that “we are changing the strategic reality in the Middle East.” Especially in the current situation, where the resistance axis and Iran are also seeking a ceasefire, it is Netanyahu and the extreme right-wingers who are talking about destroying Hamas, and Hezbollah, and weakening Iran.
