PNN – The International Atomic Energy Agency, with its double standards, is not only not a guardian of international security, but is also a driving force in implementing the racist system of nuclear apartheid.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Mayadeen, the Zionist regime’s aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which continued with the full coordination and direct participation of the US government, immediately created an international controversy regarding nuclear non-proliferation and the role of the International Atomic Energy Agency in continuing this process. This war showed that the role of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty is to complete the process of Western and imperialist domination of the world, to weaken other countries, and to create a monopoly on nuclear science and technology in the hands of Western imperialism.
Before the 12-day war, the International Atomic Energy Agency and its Board of Governors issued a statement claiming that Tehran had not fulfilled its commitments to refrain from enriching uranium and to facilitate the inspection process for Agency inspectors. A few hours after this resolution, the Zionist regime, which is the only regime in the region with nuclear weapons and has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), began its aggression against the nuclear facilities of Iran, which is a member of the IAEA.

Why did Iran decide to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency?
This issue shows the role of the Agency in justifying the Zionist regime’s aggression and legitimizing its monopoly on nuclear weapons and threatening the governments of the world. Rafael Grossi’s only response to the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iranian civilians and nuclear facilities was to announce his “deep concern.”
Irish writer Dylan Evans stated in this regard that The International Atomic Energy Agency cannot be considered an impartial institution, but rather operates in a completely biased manner under the influence of Western powers, especially the United States, which has extensive diplomatic influence over its decisions. The agency is fiercely hostile to Iran and often repeats the security narratives of the West, Israel, and the United States regarding Iran’s nuclear program. This is the fifth resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency against Iran in the past five years.
In 2018, the Zionist regime claimed to have provided a set of information about Iran’s nuclear archive to the International Atomic Energy Agency, which led to expanded inspections and raised new doubts about Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities. The International Atomic Energy Agency accepted this evidence from the Israeli regime, as a non-member party to the NPT treaty that itself possesses nuclear weapons, completely violating its claim of neutrality.
According to cables published by WikiLeaks in 2010, Yukiya Amano, the former director general of the IAEA, who held the position from 2009 to 2019, had strong ties with the United States against Iran’s nuclear program. One of these cables shows that the US State Department considers Amano a strong supporter of the US on key issues, adding that sensitive information that the agency has collected from important and sensitive centers in Iran has been provided to the US intelligence agency and the Zionist regime through the mediation of Western intelligence services.
The United States has also prevented the International Atomic Energy Agency or the United Nations from taking action to condemn the Zionist regime’s nuclear activities, despite the existence of solid evidence, such as the statements and confessions of Mordechai Vanunu, the regime’s nuclear scientist, regarding its nuclear weapons in the 1980s.
Evans called this type of behavior ridiculous, describing the nuclear non-proliferation regime as “nuclear apartheid” and strongly criticized the existing double standards that question the legitimacy of the non-proliferation regime.
According to the existing logic, if you are a friend of America, you can produce nuclear weapons without any punishment, and if you are a rival of America, you will be denied even the peaceful use of nuclear technology. This law is not about preventing proliferation, but rather the oppressive coercion of others under the guise of law. In this way, the International Atomic Energy Agency is not a guardian of international security, but an agent for implementing an apartheid and racist system.
