The month of Ramadan has its customs and conditions that distinguish it from other months of the year. With the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims around the world become one unit and engage in acts of worship and worship together. Muslim fasting in every part of the world is a spiritual period for cleansing the soul that carries with it diverse and attractive cultural traditions, and people in every corner of the world observe it with their customs and traditions. During this month, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset and increase their unity by performing worship and ceremonies specific to this month. Ramadan is an opportunity to reflect, seek forgiveness, and strengthen social bonds. Various ceremonies are performed by fasting people during this month, which reflect the cultural diversity and richness of Muslim societies.

In this regard, the Mehr News Agency International Group has examined and reviewed the ceremonies and rituals of the holy month of Ramadan in some countries of the Arab world in a file titled “Ramadan in the Islamic World”. In the first to seventh parts of this file, Ramadan was examined in Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the eighth part is dedicated to Ramadan in Yemen, which is reported in detail below;

Yemen, officially known as the Republic of Yemen, is a country in southwest Asia and in the south of the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle East, and its capital is Sanaa. The population of Yemen is approximately 29 million 830 thousand people, more than 99% of whom are Muslims.

Despite the problems and conflicts ongoing in the country since the end of 2014, Yemenis have welcomed the holy month of Ramadan amidst customs that are not devoid of joy and social solidarity. Ramadan 1446 is the eleventh month of Ramadan and Yemenis are experiencing difficult conditions that most Yemenis suffer from, but this has not prevented Yemenis from welcoming this month with warmth.
