PNN – Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations considered impunity to be the main reason for Israel’s apartheid regime’s disobedience to the implementation of the Security Council’s ceasefire resolution in Gaza and emphasized: Removing the right of veto and approving the full membership of Palestine in the United Nations is very important to resolve the current conflict.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, from the public relations office of the Pakistan Mission in the United Nations, in a speech at the UN General Assembly, which was held to discuss the US veto on Palestine’s request for full membership in the UN, Munir Akram said: Islamabad asks the Security Council to re-examine Palestine’s request for full membership in the United Nations in accordance with the wishes of the world public opinion, because such an action will correct historical injustice and accelerate peace efforts to resolve the current conflict.
He further warned about the dangerous consequences of any attack by the Zionist regime on Rafah and said: The immunity granted to the apartheid regime of Israel is the main reason for this regime’s disobedience to international laws, especially preventing the implementation of the ceasefire resolution of the UN Security Council in Gaza and the preliminary orders of the International Court of Justice.
The permanent representative of Pakistan asked the United Nations to implement an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and for unlimited access of the people of Gaza to humanitarian aid, to prevent further escalation of conflicts in Gaza, international support for the Palestinians, to revive the peace process and to make the Zionist regime accountable.
