Stating that his resignation is an attempt to shoulder the expected responsibility, the resigned head of Aman added: The battle is still expanding and this requires a strong army and intelligence pillar.

Halifa also said that an official investigation committee should be formed to find out the reasons for the war and ensure that what happened will not be repeated.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime. After November 24, 2023, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established between Israel and Hamas, or the pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel. This pause or temporary ceasefire lasted for seven days and finally ended on December 10, 2023, and the Israeli regime resumed attacks on Gaza.
