Resistance to Shine Brighter Despite Adversity: Sheikh Naeem Qassem.

Resistance to Shine Brighter Despite Adversity: Sheikh Naeem Qassem.

According to Al-Mayadeen, Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, gave a speech about the latest developments in the country.

Sheikh Naim Qassem said in this speech: The Zionist enemy wanted to destroy the resistance and end its presence through a brutal invasion of Lebanon, but the resistance stood up to this enemy with the battle of “Oli al-Bas.”

He added: “For 64 days, we went through days and weeks full of sacrifices, sacrifices and pain with patience, stability, and trust in God, and we presented many martyrs and wounded. Three basic factors led us to achieve divine victory in this battle. First, the presence of martyr-seeking resistance fighters in the field and their steadfastness. Second, the blood of the martyrs, and at their head, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who motivated the mujahideen to persevere. Third, the ability of the resistance fighters to restore the infrastructure led to the appropriate conduct of the battle of “Oli al-Bas.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem continued: “The reconstruction and restoration of the resistance’s command and control infrastructure was a very important factor in achieving victory. Our resistance is enduring and stable and will shine even brighter.”

The Hezbollah Secretary General stated: “We agreed to the agreement to stop the aggression (of the Zionist regime in Lebanon), which is a mechanism for implementing Security Council Resolution 1701. This agreement is not a new agreement and does not have an independent nature. The agreement that we agreed to is an agreement on the status of the south of the Litani River. The decisions mentioned in Resolution 1701 have specific mechanisms for implementation, including the restoration of Lebanon’s borders within a certain time frame.”

He emphasized: “Israel has violated the ceasefire agreement more than 60 times so far, and we hold the Lebanese government and the ceasefire monitoring committee responsible for following up on its violations. As Hezbollah, we will evaluate the crises we have gone through and learn from our experiences in the war to develop and improve the situation.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem, stating that Hezbollah’s internal relations in Lebanon and with the country’s army have nothing to do with Israel, addressed the Lebanese refugees, saying: “We appreciate you for your sacrifices and generosity. We also thank all those who hosted the refugees inside Lebanon and demonstrated the right model of citizenship. Regarding the issue of displacement, we have offered our assistance through voluntary and spontaneous committees despite the difficult and difficult conditions. The stage of sheltering the refugees and reconstruction is the promise of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and we will adhere to it because our motto is “commitment and commitment.”

The Secretary General of Hezbollah, thanking the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Imam Khamenei, as well as the government, people, and the Revolutionary Guard Corps for their generous support for the resistance and the refugees, emphasized: “Lebanese people whose homes have been destroyed will receive $14,000 for the purchase of furniture and housing for one year if they are in Beirut and the southern suburbs, and $12,000 if they are outside Beirut.” The Lebanese government is responsible for clearing the ruins, rebuilding the infrastructure, and planning to determine the cost of repairing houses. We will also join hands with the Lebanese government on this path, and we also call on friendly and brotherly countries to help rebuild Lebanon. Rebuilding Lebanon is a sign of victory and a badge of honor for the parties participating in this reconstruction in the fight against Israeli-American aggression.

In another part of his speech, while thanking Iraq, the religious authority, and the Popular Mobilization Forces of that country, as well as Yemen, for supporting the Lebanese resistance, he also referred to the developments in Syria and said: The aggression against Syria is being carried out under the supervision of America and Israel because they failed in Gaza, their horizons were closed to them, and they failed in their efforts to keep Syria away from the axis of resistance. We, as Hezbollah, are with Syria to prevent the goals of the aggression against this country from being achieved. Takfiri groups want to move Syria from a position of supporting the resistance to a position of serving Israel. Therefore, we are facing a very dangerous Israeli plan for the Middle East.

Sheikh Naim Qassem concluded his address to the Arab countries by saying: “Know that whatever benefits Israel is not only to the detriment of Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon but to the detriment of all of you. We are facing the dangerous expansionist plan of Israel, and we call on you (Arab countries) to support the resistance against Israel.”
