Reuters: Construction of two Turkish military bases in Syria is a topic of discussion between Al-Jolani and Erdogan.

According to Al Jazeera, Reuters news agency, citing informed Syrian sources, announced that one of the main topics of discussion between Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the leader of the terrorist group Tahrir al-Sham, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be the establishment of two Turkish bases in the desert region of central Syria.

Accordingly, during al-Julani’s visit to Turkey, which is scheduled to take place today, he will discuss with Erdogan the training of Syrian soldiers by the Turkish army and the new bases of the Turkish army in Syria.

Syrian sources claimed that if the two sides agree during these talks, Turkey will be allowed to defend Syrian airspace in the event of any attack!

Reuters further stated that Ankara is seeking to establish bases in Syria that will be considered as a message to the Kurdish forces in the northeast of the country.
