Rising prices in Syria and severe bread shortages despite al-Julani’s promises.
According to Russia Today, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has issued a report emphasizing that Syria is one of the most complex humanitarian crises in the world, which has caused food security, especially bread production, to be difficult in the country.
According to the report, internal unrest in Syria has negatively affected the process of wheat and bread production. The UN office has warned of dangerous threats to food security and public welfare.
The report also mentions the increase in costs in Syria and food shortages.
The decrease in wheat production in the northern and western Syrian fields, especially Idlib and Hama, is quite noticeable. This is even though the terrorist regime of Al-Jolani had promised to improve the economic conditions of the Syrian people.
