Riyadh: The increase in tensions between America and Yemen is dangerous for the region.
On Sunday morning, Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, while calling on the parties involved in the Red Sea to reduce tension, emphasized the importance of maintaining the security and stability of the West Asian region.

“Faisal Bin Farhan”, Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, announced on Sunday morning that Riyadh is deeply concerned about the tensions in the Red Sea, the operations of the Yemeni army against Zionist ships, and the American attacks on this country.

In a part of the interview with Farid Zakaria, anchor of CNN channel, Benfarhan explained: “We invite everyone to reduce the tension. Of course, we believe in freedom of navigation. But we also believe in maintaining the security and stability of the region.”

Stating that Saudi Arabia is trying to reduce the tension in the Red Sea region, he added: “Of course, we are very worried. You know that we are in a very difficult situation and it is a very dangerous time for the region.

According to “Reuters” news agency, Benfarhan’s interview with Zakaria is scheduled to be broadcast on CNN on Sunday.

The United States and the United Kingdom had previously attacked the positions of the Yemeni army in different parts of the country, and the Yemeni armed forces responded to these attacks by attacking the American vessels.

The American and British attacks on Yemen began after the Yemeni army did not allow Israeli ships to pass through the Bab al-Mandab strait and the Red Sea in support of the Palestinian people.

In an interview with the Reuters news agency on Friday, “Mohammed Abdulsalam”, the spokesman of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, emphasized that Yemen’s response to the US attacks will continue.
