Saudi Arabia’s news agency reported that the crown prince of the country, in a meeting with the US secretary of state, emphasized the need to stop tensions in the occupied territories and Riyadh’s efforts to calm the situation in occupied Palestine.
Riyadh, at noon today (Sunday), Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met in Riyadh and discussed the ongoing military tensions in the Gaza Strip.
The official news agency of Saudi Arabia (WAS) reported that during this meeting, bin Salman stressed the need to discuss and examine ways to stop military operations in Palestine.
According to this report, the Saudi crown prince has also emphasized that “the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabia] will increase its contacts and measures to calm and stop the current tension [in the occupied Palestinian territories] and respect international humanitarian law, including lifting the blockade of the Gaza Strip.”
Vas also pointed out that bin Salman emphasized in this meeting that Saudi Arabia rejects attacks on civilians and disabling infrastructure and vital interests.
Before this report, the American network “CNN” quoted the US State Department as saying that Blinken met with the Saudi Crown Prince for less than an hour at a residence in a private farm.
The US Secretary of State was traveling to various regions in West Asia, and his first stop was in the occupied territories and had a conversation with the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu.
After leaving Tel Aviv on Thursday last week, Blinken traveled to Jordan and then to Qatar and is currently in Saudi Arabia and is scheduled to visit the United Arab Emirates and Egypt after that. strengthening the country’s defense and preventing the spread of conflicts in the occupied lands to other countries.
