Russia criticizes America’s “cruel hypocrisy” towards Palestine.
On Friday, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that this approach is “cruel hypocrisy” while referring to the change of the American policy towards the Palestinian issue based on Washington’s political interest.
“Maria Zakharova”, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, today (Friday) criticized the dual approach of the American government headed by “Joe Biden” towards the Palestinian issue.
In a statement, Zakharova said that this approach is “cruel hypocrisy” while referring to the change of American policy towards the Palestinian issue based on Washington’s political interest.
These statements of the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry came after the White House claimed to have sanctioned the Zionist settlers who attacked the Palestinians in the West Bank, and on the other hand, the US House of Representatives banned the entry of Palestinian resistance leaders into this country.
According to “Sputnik” news agency, Zakharova said this: “At first, America recognizes Israeli settlements and encourages Israelis to occupy Palestinian lands, then it imposes these alleged sanctions on the settlers.”
He further explained: “These continuous deceptions show the nationalism and xenophobia of the American government, which plays with the feelings of Palestinians and Israelis, Muslims and Jews, for political benefit and to obtain another deal.” This is Washington’s cruel hypocrisy.”
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov condemned the decision of several Western countries, led by the United States, to stop financial aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip.
