A diplomatic source at the Security Council said that Russia wants the council to vote on a humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and Hamas on Monday.

Following the efforts of various countries and international organizations to stop the criminal attacks of the Zionist interim regime on the Gaza Strip, Russia is seeking the approval of a ceasefire in the UN Security Council.

A diplomatic source in the Security Council told Al Jazeera on Sunday morning: “Russia wants the Council to vote on the humanitarian ceasefire between Hamas and Israel on Monday.”

“Reuters” news agency also reported that Russia has prepared a draft resolution for the Security Council under which the conflicting parties in the Gaza Strip are asked to immediately stop the conflicts.

At the same time, the US Defense Minister said that in order to prevent third parties from interfering in the Israeli war with the Gaza Strip, he sent the Eisenhower aircraft carrier to the eastern Mediterranean.

After the start of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation by the Hamas resistance movement against the Zionist terrorist regime last Saturday, which led to the death of at least 1,500 Zionists and the wounding of 3,400 of them, the cabinet of the occupying Quds regime issued the order to begin large-scale attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Yoav Galant, Tel Aviv’s Minister of War, ordered an all-out blockade against the Gaza Strip, prohibiting the entry of any food, medicine, fuel, electricity, and even water into the region.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced in the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning that 2,228 Palestinians have been martyred and 8,744 people have been injured so far due to the criminal attacks of the child-killing Zionist regime.
