PNN – A Russian expert announced that Iran’s precision weapons paralyzed US aircraft carriers in the Middle East.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Alexander Stepanov, an expert at the Institute of Law and National Security of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, said in an interview with TASS: Expensive US aircraft carriers have been vulnerable in the Middle East conflicts with Iran, and Iran’s precision weapons systems have practically paralyzed two US Navy aircraft carrier strike groups.

The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln first moved away from the Iranian coast to maintain a safer distance, and then, according to the Iranian side, returned to its base with possible damage. The most advanced and expensive aircraft carrier in history, the USS Gerald R. Ford, has also shown itself vulnerable.

The ship has not encountered any direct enemy forces, and has only experienced incidents ranging from flooding due to technical problems to fires on deck. As a result, we are witnessing the weakening of America’s core strategy of projecting military power, where expensive aircraft carriers are losing their place as the most important mainstay and deterrent of this strategy.
