She emphasized that such threats are contrary to international law and the UN Charter, undermine the nuclear non-proliferation regime, and could lead to a radiological and humanitarian disaster in the region.

Zakharova called for not escalating tensions and moving toward a diplomatic agreement based on respect for treaties and considering Iran’s legitimate interests.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, reacted to the threats by U.S. President Donald Trump against Iran.

He added: We believe it is necessary to refrain from actions that could lead to an escalation of the situation in the Middle East.

Peskov stressed: We believe that, above all, dialogue with Iran is necessary.

The Kremlin spokesperson further stated: Russia will continue to develop its strong relations with Iran.

It is worth mentioning that Trump continued his allegations against Iran last night, claiming: I hope Iran does not rebuild its nuclear program, because if it does, we will have no choice but to attack again. Iran may behave badly, but that has not been proven yet.
