According to reports, this campaign, which has not yet been authorized by the US Congress, was proposed by the Biden administration in response to the attack by Yemeni forces on ships associated with Israel.
Following the start of the war in Gaza, Yemen asked Israel to stop its attacks on this strip. Finally, with Tel Aviv ignoring these warnings, Yemen began its attacks on ships associated with Israel.
