Sadr: America loves terrorism and shedding innocent blood.
“Moqtada al-Sadr,” the head of the Sadrist Movement, wrote on his page on the social network X: “Once again, the arrogant American government has proven how much it loves terrorism and the blood of children, women, innocent people, doctors and humanitarian missions [in Gaza].
Sadr wrote: “America continues to support oppression, Israeli occupation, bloody massacres, and forced displacement for the benefit of Tel Aviv’s brutal settlements.”
He added: “America boldly announced its support for the evil Zionist regime when it used its veto power against resolutions to stop the conflict and establish a ceasefire in Gaza.”
On Wednesday evening, the United States vetoed the draft resolution on a ceasefire in Gaza for the fourth time.
In a speech at the current meeting justifying the veto of the draft resolution, the US representative to the Security Council claimed: “We will not support a ceasefire resolution in Gaza without the release of the hostages (Zionist prisoners held by Hamas).
This is even though 14 other members of the Security Council had voted in favor of the draft ceasefire resolution, but the US vetoed the proposal and removed it from the agenda.
