PNN – A human rights organization affiliated with the government of Sana’a announced that the World Food Program’s decision to stop its aid to the Yemeni people in areas under the control of the National Salvation Government is due to the Yemenis’ emphasis on their position in support of the people and cause of Palestine.
According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, the Supreme Council of Humanitarian Affairs of Yemen issued a statement about the suspension of World Food Program aid to the country. The suspension of food aid to the Yemeni people in the areas under the control of the Sana’a government is part of the punishment of Yemenis for their support of the Palestinian cause, and the World Food Program threatens implements America against Yemen.
This council emphasized that the decision of the World Food Program to temporarily stop its food aid to Yemen is in line with the implementation of the previous threats of the United States regarding the termination of international humanitarian aid to Yemen if the Yemenis insist on their position in support of the Palestinian nation.
In the continuation of this statement, it is stated that the decision to stop food aid to the areas under the control of the government of Sana’a, in the situation that these aids are distributed in the occupied areas of Yemen, is contrary to the principles of international human rights. Sana’a made many efforts to receive aid from the World Food Program for the Yemeni people and presented plans that show that these aids will only reach the people who are most in need, but to no avail.
The Supreme Council of Humanitarian Affairs of Yemen held the World Food Program responsible for the dangerous consequences of stopping food aid on the lives of millions of people in Yemen and emphasized that this is an ill-considered and unfair decision against the Yemeni people.

In a situation where several news were recently published about the decision of the World Food Program to stop humanitarian aid to Yemen, knowledgeable sources in this field announced that this decision of the World Food Program is completely political and is the result of America’s stance towards the operations in Yemen against the positions of the Zionist regime and especially the operation of the Yemenis in seizing the Israeli ship in the Red Sea.
In an interview with Al-Mayadeen, these sources announced that the financial support received by the World Food Program by the end of September reached one billion and 160 million dollars, and about 60 million dollars more than last year. This means that the decision to stop WFP aid to Yemen is purely political.
According to this report, the World Food Program has stopped its aid to the Yemeni people in the areas under the control of the government of Sana’a, while this aid continues in the areas under the control of the mercenaries, and this proves that this was a political decision and because of the position of Sana’a.
The mentioned sources stated that the suspension of these aids is in the framework of the American political positions, which is contrary to Yemen’s operations against the occupied Palestinian lands. This American position against the operations in Yemen has intensified after the seizure of an Israeli ship in the Red Sea by the Yemeni armed forces.
Accordingly, America uses humanitarian aid and relevant organizations in this field as a weapon to starve the Yemeni people. This indicates the politicization of these organizations, and in particular the World Food Program, and is a violation of all international laws.
The suspension of World Food Program aid to Yemen is in a situation where, according to the organization’s own report, among Yemen’s population of about 30 million people, 17 million people suffer from food insecurity, and one million women and more than 2 million children are acutely malnourished.
