Sanaa: Insistence on serving US and Israeli interests has bad consequences for Saudi Arabia

consequences

PNN – Abdulwahid Aburas, Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister, referring to his country’s emphasis on peace and political resolution, stated that Saudi Arabia continues hostile actions against Yemen within the framework of supporting the Israelis and the interests of the US and the UK, which will have bad consequences for itself.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Abdulwahid Aburas spoke last night via videoconference with Hans Grundberg, the UN Secretary-General’s special envoy.

In this conversation, Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister appreciated the UN envoy’s efforts for peace in Yemen and emphasized his government’s support for these actions for the country’s change and reconstruction.

The Yemeni official said that Sana’a’s hand is always extended toward peace and that it is time to resume political settlement and implement the roadmap and its humanitarian commitments.

The UN envoy also informed Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister about the results of his recent meetings with the relevant parties and with the permanent members of the Security Council and stated that the UN and the international community give importance to achieving peace in Yemen and ending the humanitarian suffering of its people.

In another context, Abdulwahid Aburas told Yemen’s official news agency (Saba) that the Yemeni Foreign Ministry has been following a meeting held in Riyadh under the title of the Strategic Committee for Maritime Security Cooperation.

He added that the Al Saud regime still insists on turning Riyadh into a capital where hostile activities against Yemen and its people are carried out.

The Yemeni official stated that instead of trying to lift the blockade and end the restrictions at Yemen’s crossings, and instead of ending the occupation of our country’s lands and islands, Saudi Arabia continues mobilizing evil groups from around the world, especially from the US and the UK, to intensify maritime conspiracies and create fake entities in the name of Yemen.

Aburas said that the Al Saud regime must understand that with these hostile activities and by following the destructive policies of the US, the UK, and others, it is drowning itself even more in the swamp of servitude and hostility — a matter that will negatively affect Saudi Arabia’s ambitions and economic plans and will inflict great damage on it.

Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that the goal of these moves and the creation of fake entities is not to protect maritime security, but rather to support the criminal Zionist entity and the interests of the US and the UK in the region.

He continued, saying that the final outcome of all these activities will be defeat and destruction, just as it has been in the past. Yemen, with its army and navy, gives more importance than anyone else to maritime security and peace.

Yemen’s Foreign Ministry had previously issued a statement saying that the Saudi regime is the party that initiated aggression against Yemen and led the invading coalition against our country, and that it has created an illegitimate entity which it presents as the representative of the Republic of Yemen in international forums. But the people of Yemen know well who harms them and intensifies their humanitarian suffering; therefore, they will not remain silent but will continue defending their sovereignty and national dignity with all legitimate means.

Abdullah Sabri, an official of Yemen’s Foreign Ministry, in turn warned that Saudi Arabia may seek to rely on the United States and build closer relations with Israel, potentially pursuing hostile policies in Yemen. Any new round of Saudi aggression will mean harming the peace process. We emphasize that Yemen is now in a far stronger position than before Operation Al-Aqsa Storm and, under any circumstances, possesses strong pressure tools.
